CRITICAL CARE – RAPID RESPONSE TEAM – STROGER HOSPITAL – CHICAGO, IL. – SHIFT: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
The Clinical Nurse I (Rapid Response), provides advanced level of care to critical patients throughout the hospital. Responds to all Rapid Response, STEMI Team pages and Code Blue calls. Demonstrates an ability to assess and recognize deteriorating patient condition, communicate with the interdisciplinary team and implement interventions. Maintains accurate documentation on the Rapid Response regarding cardiac arrests. Improves the experience of critically ill patients throughout the inpatient areas, establishing optimal levels of improved outcomes.
Licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of Illinois.
Two (2) years of recent Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience.
One (1) year of Code Blue/Rapid Response experience.
Must possess an active Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. (Must provide at time of interview)
Must possess an active Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification. (Must provide at time of interview)
Must possess an active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. (Must provide at time of interview)
Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university.
An active Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification.
