Provide administrative management and leadership for multiple academic programs/disciplines, credit and non-credit programs and alternative delivery programs including online.
Develop and continually improve assigned programs, as well as manage resources and personnel effectively to meet program outcomes.
Responsible for working with other college personnel to provide college-wide leadership to achieve the college's strategic priorities.
Participate on college and system committees' and task forces and lead college strategies.
Engage with other educational institutions, community organizations, legislative governing bodies, and other external stakeholders to meet the college mission.
Create and engage workforce partners to review and assess program relevance and secure resources to offset costs.
5+ years' management experience at the Dean level or higher.
Experience in working in a large, complex community and technical college system.
Ability to work with faculty and industry to evaluate programs, improve instructional quality, make recommendations in terms of acceptable program standards, and implement changes and/or new programs.
Experience leading and managing in a collective bargaining environment and employment contract administration.
An understanding and appreciation of culturally sensitive pedagogy, student learning assessment and engagement that improves student learning to improve retention.
Ability to work with various types of employees in a diverse instructional setting.
Experience managing non-credit programs including continuing education and customized training, including aligned non-credit with credit programs.
Discipline credentialed faculty.
Familiarity with online programs and learning management platforms.
Knowledge of opportunities and challenges that impact two-year colleges, including funding, changing demographics, workforce needs of the community, curriculum, technology, management, and personnel.
Knowledge of principles and practices of administration sufficient to plan, prioritize, and coordinate tasks, meet deadlines, manage multiple demands simultaneously and assign/review the work of others.
