Advancing our Strategy & Deployment operating model and methodology is critical to reaching the next level of organizational maturity and performance in the Janssen Supply Chain. The Senior Director, Global Business Excellence and Strategy Execution is a member of the Strategy & Deployment leadership team which is comprised of the Office of Strategy and Innovation, Office of Portfolio and Project Management and Business Excellence (BE) functions. He/she will drive BE leadership to our Manufacturing Technical Operations (MTO) organizations, including Internal Manufacturing Technical Operations, External Manufacturing and Procurement. Support to other functional areas is also required on an as needed basis. The position will drive continuous improvement methodology and LEAN deployment initiatives across the end-to-end (E2E) value network and will participate in building business process management competency in both JSC and the Enterprise SC organization. In addition to his/her BE leadership responsibilities he/she will drive execution of our strategic initiatives through effective “play book” development.
Major Responsibilities of the Senior Director, Global Business Excellence and Strategy include:
Under the direction of the Vice President, Customer Management Strategy & Deployment, provide Business Excellence leadership to global initiatives.
Provide governance as an integral partner in MTO Platform teams.
Drive reliability efforts across MTO Platform teams.
Challenge the status quo, identify and execute continuous business improvements.
Lead/mentor and coach teams to design/optimize key processes through the use of improvement methodologies.
Lead/mentor and coach improvement projects having impact on the KPI's set by the business.
Build organizational capability in deployment of improvement methodologies.
Identify & drive adoption of proven practices to continuously improve results & processes.
Collaborate with HR to embed change management processes in business practices to enable cultural change and drive Faster Forward mindset.
Engage and align with JJSC teams to build business process capabilities and competencies.

A Bachelor’s degree is required. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred
A minimum of ten (10) years relevant business experience is required.
A minimum of Five (5) years Supply Chain experience is required.
Black Belt Certification is required, Master Black Belt Certification is preferred
Proven overall PE knowledge in Six Sigma, Lean or DEX is required

Strong process thinker. Ability to oversee the linkage between strategy, dashboards and business processes.
Demonstrated global Leadership skills/competencies is preferred
This position will be located in Raritan, NJ and will require about 35% domestic and international travel.
