CentraState Healthcare Foundation is currently seeking a Major Gifts Officer. The Major Gifts Officer plans, implements and manages the major gifts program which includes solicitation of major gifts from individuals, corporations and foundations, as well as the grants and planned giving programs.
Assists with managing the programs and activities of the department as they apply to other departments and the System as a whole. Integrates the activities of the department into the primary function of the organization.
Responsible for Major Gift program planning, goal setting, volunteer recruitment/training, supervision of staff on matrix assignment, materials development and promotion regarding the major gifts program. Provides staff support to the major gifts committee.
Responsible for bequests, gift annuities and other components of the planned giving program and provides staff support to the planned giving committee.
Assists with planning and implementation of capital campaigns and/or other special campaigns.
Is responsible for development and implementation of the Grateful Patient Program, available to meet with prospects and donors upon request and to explain CentraState's mission and giving opportunities.
Bachelors degree in Business or Communication required.
Five years related experience required.
Previous development experience preferred.
Advanced computer knowledge including word processing, spreadsheets, database management and power point.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be highly organized in order to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Strong professional, organizational, and interpersonal skills to effectively relate with all members of the healthcare team.

Must carry 75+ prospects – identify, cultivate, solicit and steward donors capable of making gifts of $5,000+
