Under the Director of Managed Care Operations, the Managed Care Contract Administrator oversees the implementation and monitoring of ancillary service contracts. Provides essential managed care expertise to Cook County Health & Hospitals System (CCHHS) physicians, affiliates and service vendors.Coordinates with key departments to support new business opportunities, and maximize system performance under contract terms.
This position is exempt from Career Service under the CCHHS Personnel Rules.
Maintains permanent record of all service agreements, fee schedules and support related to service agreement compliance efforts.
Supports the department by communicating with vendors and building relationships to ensure invoices are paid.
Assists in the analysis of the performance, and support evaluation, on existing agreements to department management.
Ensures all credentialing information, company business licenses and other documents needed for service and service agreement is up to date, in good standing and accurate.
Acts as the delegated liaison, facilitate the resolution of issues and inquires between CCHHS and the managed care organization.
Coordinate actions with internal department teams to resolve problems related to agreements, such as budgeting, compliance, payment processing, complaints, data requests (Healthcare Effectiveness Date and Information Set (HEDIS) & other special projects)
Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in from an accredited college or university is required
Three (3) years of managed care contract administration experience is required
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point is required
MUST MEET REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AT TIME OF APPLICATION FILING
Prior experience in procurement and/or supply chain management preferably within healthcare
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Knowledge of healthcare service pricing and reimbursement methodologies
Knowledge of, or aptitude to learn, current policies and guidelines that affect contracts, pricing, etc in the managed care environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate with all levels of staff and a patient population composed of diverse cultures and age groups
Strong organization and interpersonal skills
Demonstrate attention to detail, accuracy and precision
Ability to prioritize, plan and organize projects and tasks
Ability to work in a team based environment to accomplish goals and objectives
Ability to demonstrate respect and sensitivity for cultural diversity in CCHHS work force and patient population
Ability to work autonomously to resolve issues in a timely manner
Ability to multitask in order to allow a continuation of workflow
