The Administrative Coordinator will provide administrative support to the Faculty Director of the Center for African Studies, including maintaining calendars, filing, making local and international travel arrangements, assisting with correspondence and meeting preparation, and processing routine financial transactions, such as reimbursements and CitiCard payments. The Administrative Coordinator will also support the Center for African Studies by coordinating governance meetings (Executive Committee, Steering Committee, Africa Advisory Board and Youth Leadership Council), and serve as the point of contact for these constituents. Other duties, including event assistance and research, as needed.

5 years' experience supporting senior executives. Experience with domestic and international travel arrangements. Financial processing skills.
Associates degree or equivalent. Knowledge of Harvard systems a plus. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Strong client orientation. Experience managing international travel and foreign currencies, visa requirements, etc a plus. Superior communication skills, including impeccable phone manner and writing skills. Knowledge of database management and Excel an advantage. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple processes with attention to deadlines and detail. Experience managing faculty profiles a plus.
