Underthe Director of Managed Care Operations, the Managed Care ContractAdministrator oversees the implementation and monitoring of ancillary servicecontracts. Provides essential managedcare expertise to Cook County Health & Hospitals System (CCHHS) physicians,affiliates and service vendors.Coordinateswith key departments to support new business opportunities, and maximize systemperformance under contract terms.
This position is exempt from CareerService under the CCHHS Personnel Rules.
Maintainspermanent record of all service agreements, fee schedules and support related toservice agreement compliance efforts.
Supportsthe department by communicating with vendors and building relationships toensure invoices are paid.
Assistsin the analysis of the performance, and support evaluation, on existingagreements to department management.
Ensuresall credentialing information, company business licenses and other documentsneeded for service and service agreement is up to date, in good standing andaccurate.
Actsas the delegated liaison, facilitate the resolution of issues and inquiresbetween CCHHS and the managed care organization.
Coordinateactions with internal department teams to resolve problems related toagreements, such as budgeting, compliance, payment processing, complaints, datarequests (Healthcare Effectiveness Date and Information Set (HEDIS) & otherspecial projects)
Performsother duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in from anaccredited college or university isrequired
Three (3) years of managed carecontract administration experience isrequired
Intermediate proficiency withMicrosoft Word, Excel and Power Point isrequired
MUST MEET REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AT TIME OF APPLICATION FILING
Prior experience in procurement and/orsupply chain management preferably within healthcare
Knowledge,Skills, And Abilities
Knowledge of healthcare servicepricing and reimbursement methodologies
Knowledge of, or aptitude to learn,current policies and guidelines that affect contracts, pricing, etc in themanaged care environment
Excellentverbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate with alllevels of staff and a patient population composed of diverse cultures and agegroups
Strongorganization and interpersonal skills
Demonstrateattention to detail, accuracy and precision
Ability toprioritize, plan and organize projects and tasks
Ability to work in a team basedenvironment to accomplish goals and objectives
