I. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Organizational Reporting & Analysis 30% • Development of ad hoc queries and advanced reports using tools such as SAP Business Objects, Oracle APEX framework and Crystal Reports • Develops and maintains SQL queries and stored procedures • Ability to create reporting dashboards for management purposes • Works with staff to create reporting specifications and define reporting requirements • Develops SOPs for reports that include run-time instructions and description of report output • Assists in collecting, processing, reporting and analysis of post-exam and survey research data
Data Management 20% • Ability to understand and analyze the DANB and DALE Foundation data model and data governance to refine reporting • Leads the design and implementation of data integrity activities and validation protocols for quality improvement initiatives • Develops reports for data integrity projects and participates in meetings with staff to identify, analyze and interpret trends and areas of needed focus
Application Support 20% • Understands the association management software (Certelligence) modules and system capabilities • Ability to troubleshoot issues/problems to identify root causes of bugs and deficiencies with our association management software • Works with staff to ensure staff reported issues are resolved in a timely fashion • Assesses application related support tickets to determine areas to be addressed by training • Works with our Application Manager to understand 3rd party platform integrations (Exam testing center, content management system, accounting software, payment processor, learning management system, address verification)
Quality Assurance/Testing 15% • Ensures deliverables from both the IT department and vendors managed under IT are robustly tested and validated before turning over to internal stakeholders
Planning/Documentation/Training 10% • Trains staff and power users on query writing • Establishes SOPs and training guidelines for applications used by staff • Assist staff with application functionality training and testing • Stays abreast of vendor changes and new releases in core applications used by staff that may have a material impact on operations
Other 5% • Performs IT support and other IT-related tasks as required • Stays abreast of emerging technologies and trends • Participates in AMS implementation meetings as necessary
Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science, information sciences, or related field
Proficiency with SAP Business Objects preferred
Familiarity with Oracle APEX framework desirable but not required
2 to 4 years of experience analyzing, developing, and documenting custom reports for an organization with national scope or a similar size
Experience managing and developing solutions within an association management software or a CRM/ERP equivalent is highly desirable
