The Associate Director will bring expertise in quality monitoring, performance management and improvement so that the myConnections program will be able to continuously improve the health and well-being of CDBs in Honolulu and the Waianae Coast by systematically identifying and addressing health-related social needs. One of the key responsibilities for the Associate Director will be to assume responsibility for the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP). The Associate Director will work closely with the Quality Improvement Committee of the Hawaii AHC Advisory Board (HAAB), which will be responsible for the implementation, coordination and integration of quality improvement. More specifically, this role, working closely with the myConnections State Director, will design and review optimal work flows, tracking metrics, growth tactics and required business outcomes, are staff optimally placed in roles and in the right places. Primary Responsibilities:Develop the Quality Improvement PlanManage milestonesFacilitate appropriate data sharing among model participants and the HAABDevelop data sharing protocols and reporting schedulesPrepare gap analysis and integrate areas of improvement into planDevelop QI strategy and establish QI prioritiesCollect and analyze QI measuresDevelop QI reports on progress which include qualitative and quantitative evidence of improvement, including, but not limited to, run-charts, PDSAs and surveysManage accountability of QI plan task leads
Required Qualifications:Undergraduate degree or higher level of education 10 or more years of managing public health or public medical assistance driven quality health initiatives, with a preferred focus on social determinants of health5 or more years working in a highly matrix environmentGeneral executive presence / presentation skills1 or more years of program evaluation, data analysis and process improvement experienceExperience in Lean Six Sigma or another Process Improvement MethodologyMust reside in or near the Honolulu geographic target area Preferred Qualifications:Healthcare industry and for-profit experience 4 or more years of more social determinant of health experience Experience working with Native Hawaiians, Pacific Islanders, immigrants from Micronesia, and Waianae Coast residents and who are bilingual (Hawaiian, Samoan, Tahitian, Tongan, Maori, Tagalog, and/or Fijian)Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification Careers at UnitedHealthcare Community & State.
