The Office for Provider Advancement (OPA) serves as the clinical voice for OptumCare and was established as a governing body for OptumCare, a provider led-organization. The OPA focuses exclusively on provider related priorities, ensuring opportunities and issues are appropriately represented and addressed. Priorities include providing clinical oversight and decision making, establishing a clinical culture at OptumCare, and attracting, educating, engaging, and retaining top provider talent. The Office for Provider Advancement includes oversight of a Physician Executive Council (PEC) and Advanced Practice Clinician Executive Council (APCEC) that include our top physician and advanced practice clinician talent across the organization. The Office for Provider Advancement works to advance their clinical priorities through activities such as hosting provider forums, the Physician Partnership Program, clinical training and development curricula, and Academic Relations and Advancement.The Senior Director, Provider Advancement will serve as the lead for the Office for Provider Advancement. You will interface directly with the senior most clinical leaders in our organization and also manage a small team (2-3 individuals). You will be directly responsible for identifying and executing on the most important physician and advanced practice clinician priorities including but not limited to clinical governance, operating strategy, culture and core values, engagement, recruitment, and development. Primary Responsibilities: Leading the Office for Provider Advancement, inclusive of the Physician Executive Council (PEC), Advanced Practice Clinician Executive Council (APCEC) and the Office for Provider Advancement staff Serving as the interface between the Office for Provider Advancement and the OptumHealth executive and business leadership teams and making fact-based objective recommendations to leadership based on business case analysis Ensuring OptumHealth remains a clinician-led organization where the voice of the clinician is well-represented Development of the OptumHealth clinical value proposition Promoting what it means to practice medicine at OptumHealth internally across the enterprise and externally across the industry Hosting multiple highly visible and well attended Physician Executive Council, Advanced Practice Clinician Executive Council and All Clinician Summit meetings throughout the year Identifying and driving key priorities across our physician and advanced practice clinician base, including but not limited to research, publishing, industry partnership, training curricula, academic partnership, clinical quality, clinical care model, culture and engagement initiatives Administration of the Physician Partnership Program
