The Fiduciary & Investment Risk Oversight ("FIRO") Group within Corporate Risk is responsible for independently overseeing a broad collection of activities and risk types. Our environment continues to be one of heightened standards, raised risk consciousness, and regulatory requirements. FIRO provides credible challenges to the lines of business, consistent with the Wells Fargo Vision & Values and risk appetite.
The FIRO Risk Consultant positon reports into FIRO's Administration, Policy, Reporting, and Analytics group with a dotted line to the Fiduciary Governance Senior Manager. This role will support the development, maintenance, and on-going daily operation of the Fiduciary & Investment Risk Assessment Framework ("FIRAF").
Under the guidance of the Senior Manager of Fiduciary Governance as subject matter expert ("SME"), this individual will:
Assist in the development of the FIRAF framework
Help take from concept to an operational model
Prepare communication documents (PowerPoint presentations) for socialization of FIRAF
Document FIRAF framework and process
Document and operationalize FIRAF risk data architecture
Once the FIRAF is operational, this individual will:
Design and publish FIRAF reporting standards and templates
Maintain integration with Enterprise Risk programs
Create high level reports
Ensure FIRO reporting is G&O and BCBS 239 compliant and in accordance with enterprise standards
Other responsibilities include:
Contributing to the APRA Senior Manager's support of enterprise risk appetite, enterprise risk framework, corporate governance programs, new technology approval processes, and guidance of FIRO's adherence to its policy framework of policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines
Contributing to the development of FIRO's policy framework which includes:
Creating and aggregating FIRO's policy framework (storage, SharePoint, templates, internal process) as well as evaluating its adequacy and effectiveness
Recommending modifications to workflows, processes, and/or systems of internal controls
Reviewing FIRO's critical business requirements and creating producing, and automating key metrics reports for FIRO management
Evaluating functionality and effectiveness of SharePoint site architecture and file archiving
Creating and managing FIRO templates for reporting and presentations
Contributing to ad-hoc reporting
4+ years of reporting experience, analytics experience, or a combination of both; or a BS/BA degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 2+ years of reporting experience, analytics experience, or a combination of both
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Other Desired Qualifications
Risk management experience in a large financial institution
Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills
