The Program Coordinator, Professional Programs supports the day-to-day activities relative to the improvement and expansion of executive and professional masterâ??s programs in the School of Professional Studies.
The Program Coordinator works collaboratively with the Associate Dean, Assistant Director, and other directors to support programming and initiatives related to, but not limited to, faculty governance and appointments; evaluation and assessment; new program development and special projects; and alumni engagement, career services and corporate engagement across the portfolio of executive and professional masterâ??s programs in the School of Professional Studies. This is a year-round position providing administrative, logistical, and project management support for all aspects of programming in these areas. The Program Coordinator reports to the Assistant Director, Professional Programs.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Provide administrative and logistical support for projects and initiatives relative to the improvement and expansion of executive and professional masterâ??s programs in the School of Professional Studies.
Coordinate implementation of the faculty governance and appointment system across the portfolio of professional programs.
Support and manage projects and initiatives resulting in evaluation, assessment, and improvement of the portfolio of executive and professional masterâ??s programs.
Support programming and initiatives related to alumni engagement, career resources, and corporate outreach across the portfolio of executive and professional programs.
Bachelorâ??s degree and three to five years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
Experience preferably in an academic or executive education environment
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, and other stakeholders
Experience coordinating events
Public speaking skills a plus
Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to solve problems with creative solutions
Balance mission and resources
Ability to effectively multi-task
Complete working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required, and Google Apps for Education
Experience with project management and project management software preferred

Position requires close attention to detail, orientation to a team working environment, ability to change priorities to address immediate needs, to problem solve and seek help when needed, work quickly and accurately, maintain professional decorum when faced with a problem to solve, work with multiple professional staff and university departments and outside vendors. The person must have a high tolerance for working in a fast paced environment and be able to acclimate to changes due to the growing nature of the department. Commencement, residential sessions, and other activities will require evening and weekend hours.
