An integral member of the Investment Banking CAO team, responsible for managing multiple day to day tasks and projects related to the IBD coverage and M&A teams .and the management of IB Business Analysis working with the business across Global IBD. The role reports to the CAO Industry and Geography coverage.
The role requires a close working relationship with the Investment Bankers on a direct daily basis across all levels from Analyst to Managing Director. Partnering with other regions and internal IBD support functions
Typical duties include:
Liaison with IB Group heads on a wide ranging number of tasks to support the them in the ongoing management of their groups
Supporting the CAO for M&A, Industry and Geography groups , and where necessary the wider CAO team, coverage on a day to day basis, including preparation of presentation, business planning, market and competitor analysis and staff management matters
Administrator for Business Acceptance Committee for M&A
Liaising with Bankers to understand and manage the forward deal pipeline
Working closely with Finance on pipeline reporting, revenue performance, forecasting and ad hoc analysis
Developing MIS using DealMaker and Business Objects, to support alignment of resources to clients opportunities
Management of a variety of projects related to running the business day to day, production of MIS for Senior Management, active role in producing materials for business planning off-sites
Desired profile, qualifications and knowledge required:
Degree level educated with business focus preferred. CIMA qualification an advantage
Prior knowledge of IB with knowledge of capital markets strongly preferred
Strong user of Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Computer literate with ability to use in-house systems (but knowledge of technology or application development is not required)
Knowledge of market analysis tools (e.g Dealogic)
Communication ability: clear, methodological and consistent communication with stakeholders and bankers (e.g., reporting on status, workgroup facilitation)
Presentation ability: Preparation and delivery of presentations to all levels of the organisation
Basic understanding of organisational behaviour (e.g., cultural gap, responsibility shifts, user adoption, process change)
Personal management skills (e.g. multi-tasking, coordination, communication, project planning)
Self-motivated, dedicated team player, with common sense and good sense of humour.
Ability to operate in a high pressure environment with strong interpersonal skills
May have to work long hours from time to time, particularly evenings during the week
