ASGE provides education and resources that empower physicians and their healthcare teams to integrate quality and safety into their everyday practice and become leaders within their institutions to standardize performance improvement practices and augment safety programs. ASGE’s flagship program, recognizing high-performing gastroenterology practices, is its Endoscopy Unit Recognition Program (EURP). In this role, the Manager of Quality will manage, deliver, and engage existing and new EURP applicants and therefore needs to have a passion for quality initiatives in healthcare. The development and delivery of the EURP will require the manager to work in collaboration with volunteers from various ASGE committees, primarily the quality assurance in endoscopy committee. Further, the Manager of Quality will interface with multiple ASGE departments to lead the creation and expansion of quality improvement resources.
This position would be accountable for growing the EURP program while facilitating budgetary preparation and oversight, developing and implementing multi-year strategies that would allow the EURP to meet retention, reinstatement, and recruitment goals by:
Managing effectively and efficiently the application processes for new and renewing honorees;
Maintaining ongoing communication with applicants regarding application requirements and renewal deadlines;
Developing and maintaining resources available to honorees;
Working with our Marketing, Communications, and Membership Departments to develop and ensure implementation of marketing strategies for the EURP and to ensure that these plans align with the overall program communications and implementation strategies;
Performing other duties as assigned to meet program and Society goals.

Oversee the application review and approval process for new and renewing EURP units. Ensure completeness of the application through the physician review by members of the Quality Assurance in Endoscopy Committee and Board approval processes.
Develop and manage, in conjunction with the health policy, marketing, and communications departments, plans to position EURP positively among gastroenterologists, their healthcare teams, patients, government agencies and other stakeholders with the goals of improved recruitment and retention and meeting budgetary goals.
Responsible for contributing to the development, delivery, management, and evaluation of educational content for quality programming, including existing Quality and Safety initiatives. Position is responsible for proactive development of educational content that impacts quality in GI practices that ASGE delivers in all media formats such as webinars, e-learning activities, fact sheets, and online collaboratives. This position supports administration of the live quality-related courses, representing the Health Policy team.
Serve as the primary staff responsible for providing customer service for the EURP as well as Quality and Safety education delivered live or remotely.
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree required. Education and/or experience in public health, policy, informatics, quality improvement, or other related discipline desirable. Strong project management skills are necessary for effective management in this position.
Strong PC literacy including proficiency with the Microsoft software suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
