Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Practice Manager-NYU Langone Orthopedic Center.
In this role, the successful candidate Position Summary:Accountable for the NYU Langone Orthopedic Center operations of the office practice and exam area. This includes maintenance ofadequate resources, including staff; development and implementation of policies, procedures, andsystems for smooth patient flow; and management of the environment and supplies.
Addressing patient complaints
Implementation of office practice processes ; addressing related physician issues
Scheduling and organization of staff; generation of work orders and supply requests
Oversee the physical environment of the office practice suite, interfacing with otherdepartments including IT, telecommunications, housekeeping, laundry, facilities
Oversee ordering and stocking of supplies and care of the equipment within the officepractice suite
Prepare the schedule for staff and provide back-up coverage and support as needed.
Develop and implement policies and procedures related to patient scheduling andoperational issues in the office practice and exam area in collaboration with the medicaland administrative staff of CMC
Oversee completion and processing of practice billing; coordinates with FGP BillingCoordinators and Revenue Cycle Operations to ensure timely charge capture
Supervise and appraise staff in the office practice suite, to include orientation, ongoingeducation, and dissemination of information at staff meetings.
Solve day-to-day operational problems (e.g., staffing, interactions within other areas and hospital departments).
Minimum Qualifications: Complies with regulatory requirements (i.e. Joint Commission) appropriate for position.BS in administration or health-related field preferred. 2 years experience in the operation of a physician/ambulatory care practice. Computer proficiency.Excellent communication skills.Ability to establish collaborative relationships.
