First Hospital is currently recruiting for entry level and experienced Behavioral Health Workers. We have available positions on all shifts (days, evening, nights and weekends); full time, part time, and per diem. Behavior health workers facilitate individual and group activities, administer program schedules, and assist in monitoring patient treatment plans. Behavior health workers work directly with patients, and provide a valuable support mechanism for nursing. This is a great opportunity for college students and anyone interested in behavior health careers.
Eligible candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills, and be able to maintain a calm demeanor using tact when working with patients. Basic Life Support and Safe Crisis Management must be completed by the end of orientation. The Behavior Health Worker position requires the ability to work with nursing in fostering a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
