Evaluate business requirements and preparing detailed functional and technical specifications. Communicate the design to all stakeholders and varying levels of the organization. Serve as the liaison between business and systems analysts, developers and project management groups. Present and evaluate design solutions objectively and facilitate conflict resolution. Define, use, and communicate design patterns and best practices in service oriented analysis, design and development. Collaborate with quality assurance team to ensure testing efforts align with system deliveries and business processes. Develop strategies to improve service development life cycle and governance processes. Develop detailed source-to-target data mapping and data transformation rules. Develop and using enterprise service and data models.
QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field. 5 years related progressive, post-baccalaureate experience. Will accept experience gained concurrently. Must have 12 months demonstrated experience with (1) Analyze, design and develop applications for Mainframe Modernization using technologies like COBOL, CICS, DB2, IMS DB & DC, REX, and Endevor; (2) Data analysis for online and batch processing using tools like Aqua data Studio,DB2,SQL,SPUFI and table design, optimizing queries for performance, reducing Millions of Instructions Per Second (MIPS), and EDI transaction data analysis for healthcare claims processing; (3) Requirement gathering, solutioning and implementing applications for migration from Legacy to Distributed Technology using JAVA/UNIX and open source tools such as Altov XML, Altov mapforce, IntelliJ IDEA 15,SOAP UI, and LISA; (4) Propose multi-tier applications and web based Graphical User Interface (GUI) developments/enhancements with different platforms using Agile Methodologies; and (5) Collaborate with quality assurance/release management teams to execute production deployment and post deployment support including code review, test plan review, root cause analysis, defect fix and status tracking using tools like HP ALM and ITIL related tools.Careers with Optum.
