The Senior Project Manager together with the IT Department Manager is directly responsible for delivery of assigned projects within acceptable timeframes and quality standards. Position may also be responsible for multiple projects running concurrently and is expected to:Manage developer team to ensure quality of work and timely completion meeting business requirements.Establish and maintain phases of the Project Management LifecycleEstablish and maintain MSLA's programming standards, methodologies, and techniques through implementation meetings and code reviewsEstablish proper support processes and standard operating procedures to ensure timely resolution of technology issues. (Incident, problem, outage notifications etc.). Demonstrate knowledge of systems analysis, design, development and maintenance (full SDLC) & facilitate design, development and maintenance of MSLA's business software applicationsAct as a Scrum Master to coach, inspire, and lead agile development teams, and help identify and clear technical impediments within development sprints. Provide design and implementation documents and work estimates to enable business decision makingAssign software development and support tasks to developers in the team (Forecast demand, plan for needed talent capacity, facilitate prioritization within budgeted capacity).Participate in requirements and software design meetings with internal and external customers, business analysts and software development teamsAct as a Scrum Master to coach, inspire, and lead agile development teams, and help identify and clear technical impediments within development sprints. Participate in planning, prioritization and management of IT technical backlog items, sprint backlog, software releases, defect management and application support. Interact with user groups, Business Analysts, QA Testers, and Developers to ensure that technical and functional requirements and performance goals are metProvide periodic status reports to management regarding the projectMonitor, evaluate, manage and report on team and individual performanceHire, develop, train and complete performance appraisalsGuide development team on the best development methodologies and approachesIdentify potential problems or issues and plan for mitigations, resolution or improvementsLead or participate in design and implementation meetings, progress and status meetings
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or other related discipline with an emphasis in Project Management Equivalent combination of education, experience and/or applicable military experience will be considered5+ years Development Management experience in a corporate environment 3 years demonstrated leadership experience Demonstrated facilitation and project management experience for complex technical projects; Experience with large scale technology implementation projects including custom software development and/or third party software integrations andExperience with development and reporting of project costs, and project financial analysisKnowledge of Visual Studio and VB.NET, SQL Server and relational database modeling concepts, .NET Framework, ADO.NET, ASP.NET, Object Oriented programming concepts, Windows and Web forms Preferred:Experience with Visual Studio , Agile methodology, Team Foundation, Active Directory, Spam Filters, Infectious Detection, Mobile Device Management, Firewalls, Intrusion Detection and Prevention, Infrastructure knowledge, Security knowledge, Disaster Recovery.Healthcare backgroundMicrosoft CertificationsMilitary or Government contract project experience Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desired, but not necessaryAbility to use that understanding to develop tools and processes applicable to the organizationMust have a strong grasp of the technical fundamentals of software development and be able to work within complicated IT systems to plan projectsProficient Microsoft Software Suite skills, including Project, VisioCareers with MSLA.
