Job Requisition Number: 23606. Campus Shared Services (CSS) provides reliable, high quality support for UC Berkeley in the areas of Business & Financial Services, Human Resources & Academic Personnel Support, Student appointments, Information Technology (IT), and Research Administration.
As part of the CSS HR/APS HRIS team, this position’s primary emphasis is to review, analyze and perform accurate and timely employment lifecycle transaction processing for Staff, Academic and Student personnel into the Human Capital Management system (HCM) on the UC Berkeley campus.
•Enters employee information into Human Capital Management (HCM) system for new hires, change of status, terminations, etc, ensuring the data is correct and consistent.Reviews and analyzes requests for processing. •Identifies problems, works with submitters or HR Professionals to correct or to obtain all required information. This includes chartfield validation issues, incomplete or inaccurate onboarding paperwork, to visa compliance issues. •Ensures data integrity using established post entry audit procedures •Responsible for individual workload and time management with respect to work completion. •Resolves issues regarding HCM questions; •Escalates system issues to lead or supervisor •Consults with HCM Lead, HR Generalists and CSS supervisors/ managers when working on non-routine issues of complex or sensitive nature. •Collaborate with the Payroll team to resolve issues resulting from errors or systemic problems. •Works with AP Analysts, HR Professionals, Department Managers/Deans to enter complex academic appointments, leaves and specialty actions (FSREP) for faculty, lecturers, non-senate academics •Manages sensitive and confidential information. •Professional Development•Proven ability to manage high volume, multi-faceted ticketing system ( ie, ServiceNow) •Ability to provide exceptional customer service in high volume, fast-paced, professional environment •Demonstrated ability to handle difficult or volatile situations/individuals effectively. •Possess a high degree of political acumen and awareness •Proven experience exercising strong communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, both verbally and in writing •Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes. •Must possess ability to work rapidly and accurately with pressure of competing deadlines and frequent interruptions in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment. •Must be able to lift 15-20 pounds •Advanced knowledge of HR processes for data entry into HCM •General knowledge of benefits eligibility requirements •Skill in managing sensitive and confidential information •Attention to detail and accuracy •Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives
