Join us and start doing your life's best work.Positions in this function (with the exception of Healthcare Services Coordinator) require education / certification / licensure other than an RN, such as BSW, MSW, Respiratory Therapist, Dietician, Nutritionist, Occupational Therapist, etc. Positions are responsible for providing clinical and medical management services, including case management, health assessments, interventions, and discharge planning. May identify, coordinate or provide appropriate levels of care under the direct supervision of an RN or MD. This function does not include Health Coach, Health Educator and Health Advocate roles that do not require an RN. Those roles are found in the Wellness Coach Management function.Primary Responsibilities:Providing exceptional customer serviceMulti - tasking, inbound / outbound phone calls to members and / or physiciansCompleting assessments and documentation within a CER systemProvide benefit explanationHealth care knowledge surrounding disease management, community resources, durable medical / consumable productsYou will be providing care coordination telephonically; completing assessments and documentation within a clinical system while multi - tasking other applications gathering information to support member's needsTelephonic case management and some administrative responsibilities for the clinical department related to member careModerate work experience within own functionSome work is completed without established proceduresBasic tasks are completed without review by othersSupervision / guidance is required for higher level tasksRole assists in coordinating health services and does not write care plans
Required Qualifications:High School Diploma / GED2+ years of experience working in a Case Management or a telephonic Healthcare environmentExperience with Microsoft Outlook (send emails and set folders) and Microsoft Excel (update spreadsheets)Experience with Medical Terminology, Benefits Management, Claims, and / or Healthcare InsurancePreferred Qualifications:Bilingual fluencySoft Skills:Strong typing, writing and grammar skillsVery fast paced environment with 10+ people, team player, goal focused, must be self - motivated, take initiative and willing to learn in a fast environmentCareers at UnitedHealthcare Community & State.
