POSITION OVERVIEW: This position will be responsible for assisting the Instructor with using tools to assess the student’s skill levels, assisting in the classroom, general administrative duties and providing case management of the individuals in the Adult Basic Education program. This person must be able to relate well to adults in the classroom as well as employees, and be willing to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with the mission of National Able Network.
Assist Instructor by providing case management services to students
Assist with administering the TABE test, gathering the results and documenting them in the student files.
Conduct diagnostic assessments per the STAR/EBRI standards.
Analyze and prepare results of the diagnostic assessments for instructors
Distribute and track support services
Assist with file organization.
Assist with the implementation of the daily program under the direction of the Instructor.
Assist in planning and preparing the learning environment, setting up interest centers and preparing needed materials and supplies.
Supervising the classroom when the teacher is out of the room.
Attend all staff meetings and recommended training programs and conferences.
Maintain confidentiality about the students, their families, and other employees outside the program.
Supervising activities that occur outside of the classrooms, such as workshops, events, etc.
Helping with the operations of audio/visual aids (projectors, etc.).
Tutoring adult learners
Other duties as assigned.

Possess a background or have a strong interest in adult education
Enter student data into state system (DAISI) per ICCB policy
Assist with running program reports via DAISI system
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, in social services, business administration or related field.
Minimum (2) years of experience with tutoring and or coaching in the adult education field, preferred.
