Assistant Athletic Director (Assistant Director of Commonwealth Campus Athletics)
The Office of the Vice President for Commonwealth Campuses is seeking candidates for the position of Assistant Director of Commonwealth Campus Athletics. The position shall serve as a key administrator in assisting to ensure efficient and sound administration of the 18 intercollegiate athletic programs affiliated with the Penn State University Commonwealth Campuses. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: managing, coordinating and overseeing the administration of 11 Penn State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC) championship events; assisting in compliance and governance oversight; strategic planning and, managing the communication efforts and promotion of the PSUAC. Required competencies include: proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel and Powerpoint; media-platform management; self-management and self-direction; and strong written and verbal communication skills. This job will be filled as a level 2, or level 3, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher, plus two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 2. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs.
