Working closely with talent partners across business segments and Enterprise Human Capital. No direct reports, but needs to provide work direction/influence across the organization. Talent Strategy mission: Create and execute critical components of our talent agenda to ensure we have the right talent, properly prepared for the right roles. Support the growth of our business, design and implement processes and tools to know and deploy the talent we have, identify the talent we need, and monitor and communicate progress against objectives.Director, Talent StrategyProviding thought leadership and partnership with Human Capital Partners/Talent Business Partners to understand the current and future business demands, leveraging end-to-end processes and systems that weave together our talent planning, succession management, performance management and development programs. – 25%Support for the key segment talent initiatives – bringing deep COE expertise to bear on leadership development efforts, experiential development, purposeful movement, etc. – 40%Developing communications and processes to report progress, influence mindsets, and align strategic and planning elements across UHC and with UHG. – 20%Partnering with, providing UHC perspective and thought leadership to collaborate Enterprise Talent to ensure alignment with Enterprise strategies and initiatives. – 5%Monitor key talent metrics that measure the health and efficacy of our talent pipeline. – 10%
Required Qualifications:Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Talent Management, HRD at senior leadership levels Experience providing thought leadership within a COE in some or all of the following functions: Talent Planning, Succession Management, Leadership Development, OD/OE Practical experience in a Fortune 500 company Experience in roles that required strategic planning, critical thinking, project and process management, communication and change management across major business units Experience developing custom leadership initiatives Experience with Talent Analytics Proven track record of influencing without authority – up, down, and across the organizationLong-term perspective, ability to act ahead of needs and drive continuous improvement Proven ability to accelerate business objectives and enable a broader view of company-wide talent to ensure we have the talent to meet current and future needs Careers with UnitedHealthcare.
