CRG is seeking a full-time Contract Closeout Specialist to perform a broad range of close-out activities on contracts, Orders, and Grants in accordance with regulatory guidance and procedures for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Must have working knowledge of federal procurement regulations and policies and must be able to quickly grasp procurement terms, methodologies, and processes, prepare contract files and associated electronic documentation.
Review Close-Out documentation received from COR and prepare close-out documentation activities which include but are not limited to the following: Certificate of Completion, Final CPARS Evaluation, and any additional supporting documents.
Prepare initial close-out notification letter to send to Contractor.
Review draft of Final Invoice and assess and document basis of need for either a Desk Audit and Quick Close-out process under FAR 42.708, or alternatively, a complete Formal Audit.
Assess and document whether additional funds are needed.
Draft bilateral modification for final rate adjustment and obligating or deobligating funds, as determined by Contract Close-out CO.
Submit modification for contractor approval.
Complete Closeout Checklist in STAQS and upload supporting documents into STAQS.
MUST have DoD Secret Clearance (candidates without clearance will be rejected)
3+ years of professional experience in federal contracting required
Experience using STAQS/PRISM required
Knowledge and Understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) required
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university/college in a Business or Business Management field of study, required
Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) or Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting (FAC-C) Level I preferred
Strong technical writing skills and verbal communication skills
