UMC Health System is seeking an RN Department Director to plan, supervise and evaluate patient care and nursing personnel in the Neuro ICU. Serving as a mentor and role model for staff, you will be responsible for all aspects of operations in order to ensure quality patient care, competent and responsible personnel management, cost-efficient, effective utilization of unit resources and department alignment with strategic plans and initiatives.
Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
Master of Science degree in Nursing (MSN)
RN licensure from the Texas State Board of Nursing or another state that participates in the Nurse Licensure Compact
5 years of professional nursing experience with 2 years in ICU
Previous leadership and management experience
Knowledge of organizational and nursing policies, as well as clinical and nursing standards and practices in accordance with nursing scope and standards of practice as set forth by the American Nurses Association
