Reporting to the Executive Director, HIBC Procurement Office, the Director, IM/ IT Deal Strategy (the Director) leads the development of technology roadmaps as well as technical standards, requirements and deliverables for major procurement projects.
The Director leads the planning, development and integration of new and modified technology within complex environments throughout the BC health sector. Issue resolution, negotiations and implementation strategies must be conducted in cooperation with other government and private sector officials in a way that achieves government’s overall objectives and facilitates service delivery within the BC Health Sector. Recommendations, planning decisions and project outputs will have an important bearing on the achievement of government health service delivery targets, as well as ministry strategic and operational goals.
Qualifications for this role include:
Degree in business administration, public administration, computer or health information sciences, or a related field or equivalent experience.
Experience at a senior level leading major projects of large scale and complexity that have multiple project delivery components.
Experience establishing collaborative relationships with executives and leading organizational change associated with implementation.
Experience leading and coaching multi-disciplinary senior level professionals and/or managers in the development and implementation of complex projects.
Experience in business planning, technology planning, contract management, financial management, and negotiations.
