Work in collaboration with Head of Asia Regional Citizenship to ensure Citizenship programmes are delivered against agreed objectives, on time and within budget, ensuring strong, measurable impacts for beneficiaries.
Understand the governance requirements at national, regional, and global levels. Take ownership of gaps and offer resolution whenever necessary.
Conduct financial analysis for investments; Evaluate partners based on analysis of investment performance, social return and alignment with strategy.
Develop detailed written recommendations for support of potential investments for Regional Citizenship Committee and/or Global Citizenship Committee meetings.
For programme development, assist with creation of curriculum development, website materials, work collaboratively with colleague engagement to identify volunteering opportunities, etc.
Communicate programme metrics to partners as part of the engagement strategy and to improve the measuring process.
Programme Engagement and Colleague Participation
Engage leaders and colleagues across the region to understand, get involved in and advocate the Citizenship Plan Plan in line with the regional colleague engagement plan.
Create new and aligned Citizenship participation opportunities across the full agenda, including skills-based volunteering, that maximise social and business impact and enable colleagues to achieve personal development objectives.
Partner with the BUs in the region to ensure a meaningful and easily understood suite of options available to participate in.
Facilitate/lead selected volunteering events for key stakeholders and/or to upskill volunteers and champions to learn how to deliver themselves.
Communicate with targeted groups of colleagues in a structured and well-planned way, including leaders and ambassadors and the colleague population. Provide content to be included in various internal and external communications.
Work with the Employee Programmes Operations team in London to ensure colleagues know how to source, apply for and record their activity using the technology portal (where available).
Provide proactive support, challenge and insight as a trusted advisor of local Citizenship Committees (or equivalent) to create plans and drive local business and colleague ownership.
Use insight to inform Leader and Ambassador engagement activity. Support recruitment and engagement of local leaders and ambassadors, in line with the regional strategy.
Drive regional participation in the global employee engagement campaigns, managing Asia Pacific regional involvement in Make a Difference and Citizenship Awards.
Engage with senior stakeholders externally and internally in an effective and impactful way.
Engage with partners to gather necessary data and information for reporting, governance and investment decisions. Manage site visits as required by regulatory requirements.
Manage and track investment enquiries from charities and Barclays colleagues.
Governance and control
Support embedding and implementation of M&E framework to understand and capture the social and business impact of our programmes and assist leadership team with quarterly and annual reporting.
Establish and embed strong governance and control for programmes, including regular partnership forums and supporting risk and issue management. Ensure full compliance with all policies that relate to Citizenship, including Anti-Bribery and Corruption
Ensure robust measurement and evaluation systems, including formal quarterly reports and monthly updates against agreed KPIs. Analysis of results to identify gaps and recommend action areas to address.
Support the Head of Asia Regional Citizenship in running the financial planning process for Citizenship programmes across the region, including agreeing budgets, providing information and advice to assist with decision making process on spending allocations and coordinating all necessary inputs to the financial process
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting against budget and targets. Monitor expenditure against budget within areas of control, initiating approved payments via appropriate individual/team and providing updated forecasts as requested.
Ensure appropriate legal agreements are in place for all programmes.

Share best practice and learning with colleagues and seek continuous improvement opportunities, maintaining a thorough understanding of relevant, up-to-date technical knowledge.
Work with key stakeholders to understand the BUs and their priorities to ensure the Citizenship strategy supports business objectives.

Demonstrable commercial acumen and business knowledge; experience working in the business or another financial institution is essential.
