The Community Benefit/Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) Coordinator collaborates with and supports the Vice President of External Affairs and Director of Community Benefit, Advocacy & Outreach and supports and oversees the Akron Children's Hospital’s system-wide Community Benefit and CHNA initiatives.
This Coordinator refines, implements, and facilitates community benefit data collection mechanism and evaluates and processes data to determine eligibility for inclusion in hospital reports; audits and reviews materials to ensure data integrity and information reliability. Serves as a liaison to the CHNA Implementation teams, reviews CHNA and supports the CHNA strategies. Works with various levels of professionals and government officials at local, state and federal levels.
Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Public Health, Political Science, Public Administration, or related field is required; Master’s degree is preferred.
1 to 3 years of relevant experience is required.
Experience using information derived from databases and manage complex legislative and regulatory initiatives and projects is required.
Experience using community benefit data systems is preferred.
Experience in community and/or health needs assessments is required.
Experience working under stressful conditions, prioritizing responsibilities, and meeting deadlines is required.
Travel and valid Ohio driver’s license is required.
Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
Experience in healthcare is preferred.
Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.] or similar software is required.
