The Rockefeller University seeks a Laboratory Administrator to join Neuroendocrinology. Working in a lab of 10-15 people, the Laboratory Administrator will oversee the office and laboratory of the Principal Investigator (PI). Responsibilities include handling grant/fellowship and private grant applications and administration, proofreading and submitting manuscripts, managing lab finances, including purchasing and personnel, maintaining all service contracts, processing all laboratory personnel and adjunct appointments, including new hires and terminations, handling correspondence and interaction with government officials, collaborators, and Rockefeller University staff on laboratory matters, monitoring the lab�s computer and file storage system, and acting as a lab liaison to the rest of the university.
Bachelor's degree required. Strong organizational skills, a willingness to acquire new skills and resourcefulness in seeking out solutions necessary. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required; familiarity with Adobe Acrobat and graphics suites helpful. Knowledge of grant writing and management as well as comfortability with budgets and basic accounting preferred.
