The Assistant Director Grant and Contract Administration has responsibility for managing post-award grant and contract administration in the College of Arts and Sciences. This position reports to the Director of College Grant and Contract Administration, and works closely with the Associate Dean of Research, the Associate Dean of Budget and Administration, and the Director of Pre-Award Grant and Contract Administration. Working closely with principal investigators, University administration, and the Director of College Grant and Contract Administration, the position shares responsibility for managing all aspects of post-award grant administration including compliance and financial reporting in the College of Arts and Sciences.
This position leads, and develops a team of grant administration professionals in the College Dean’s Office and in the departments across all aspects of post award grant administration. A key success factor for this role is the development of effective professional relationships with internal constituents, including principal investigators/faculty, senior leadership, and administrators.

A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration or related field os required. Master’s degree is preferred.
Two years of supervisory experience
Five -seven years of post-award research administration experience
Familiarity with grant related accounting and financial reporting GAAP
Knowledge of Federal OMB Circulars and Uniform Guidance
Demonstrated ability to interpret federal, state, and local government laws and regulations regarding grant contracts and administration
Good working knowledge of MS Excel and Word
Excellent customer service skills with demonstrated ability to develop, facilitate, and orchestrate effective communication with all levels of the University
Excellent managerial, analytical, problem solving skills with a high attention to detail
