Come help us heal and strengthen the health care system as you do your life's best work.(sm) The Senior Compliance Analyst will assist in identifying and will investigate various compliance concerns related to end - to - end revenue cycle, including patient access, HIM / coding and billing / collections to assist the Corporate Integrity Agreement Program Manager, Compliance Sr. Directors and the Vice President, Revenue Cycle Compliance and Quality and other Compliance Team members in developing, implementing, coordinating and supporting compliance functions and activities in a client setting. Primary Responsibilities: Works effectively and collaboratively with colleagues, employees, internal clients, business partners and key customers, vendors, and management within Optum360, responding promptly and efficiently to emails, telephone calls, and complaints that come through the hotline Supports annual Compliance Risk Assessment process through tracking of identified risk areas, ranking and analysis Supports quarterly Service Area Compliance Committee meetings by gathering necessary data and reports, conducting necessary analysis and developing presentation materials Interacts with multiple functions within Optum360 and the client organization including Compliance, Legal, Reimbursement, Finance, Operations, Human Resources and Internal Audit as necessary to assist in investigation various revenue cycle related compliance concerns Maintains and executes tracking and reporting mechanisms and procedures related to compliance initiatives and activities Performs internal monitoring and reviews to ensure compliance with laws, rules, and policies governing Optum360's operations Reviews and analyzes results of internal audits and monitoring activities and prepares reports detailing the findings for discussion with Chief Compliance Officer, and VP of Revenue Cycle and Compliance others Researches and maintains awareness of new laws, rules and regulations applicable to and impacting Optum360's operations Collaborates with other departments and client operations to ensure compliance issues are routed through appropriate channels for investigation and resolution and helps formulate corrective action to mitigate such risks Consults with the Corporate Integrity Agreement Program Manager, Chief Compliance Officer, and Vice President of Revenue Cycle Quality and Compliance as needed to resolve complex compliance issues Leads, facilitates, and / or participates in compliance work groups or committees as requested Anticipates and identifies areas of improvement for the Compliance Program and participates in developing compliance performance improvement projects and activities Completes work independently; ability to understand and implement action plans based on general guidance Assists in developing, maintaining, and updating compliance and privacy policies and procedures to support Optum360's Corporate Compliance Program and culture of integrity and ethics Models and supports Optum360's core values, mission, and vision as well as C - I - Care strategy when interacting with others Supports annual compliance training efforts Performs other duties as assigned Generally work is self - directed and not prescribed Works with less structured, more complex issues Serves as a resource to others
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and experience in provider revenue cycle with a combination of professional training and / or work experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position 4+ years of experience working in a government or healthcare environment Knowledge and understanding of healthcare industry regulations and guidelines, specifically Medicare Knowledge of HIPAA related release of information requirements Preferred Qualifications: Preference for professional certification in one or more of the following areas: Healthcare Compliance Professional (HCP), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP), or similar Experience in clinical operations, accounting, compliance, internal audit, billing, coding or equivalent related fieldCareers with Optum.
