The University of Akron's Talent Development and Human Resources Department is currently seeking applications for the Human Resources Business Analyst position.
Assist in the redesign, development and implementation of business processes within the HR unit to most efficiently utilize the Human Capital Management system and meet industry best practice standards
Lead business process re-engineering teams for moderately complex business process evaluation, analysis and re-design. Act as liaison between HR and technical support to properly implement system upgrades and develop new functionality. Recommend and facilitate quality improvement efforts. Translate high-level, moderately complex business requirements into functional specifications and manage changes to such specifications
Develop queries and reports to support business processes. Create ad hoc queries as requested to support business unit/campus requests. Troubleshoot business process and application issues
Prepare testing plans and design test scripts. Conduct online data testing and data analysis for upgrades and new or re-engineered business processes. Prepare user documentation, training manuals and conduct training sessions for primary system users. Maintain system configuration tables
A relevant Bachelor's degree and two years of experience engaging in HR business processes and hands on experience with PeopleSoft/ORACLE or comparable ERP system
Demonstrated ability to multi task, maintain accuracy and quality, along with the ability to communicate with all levels of employees in a cooperative environment
Strong analytical, problem solving and computer skills including Microsoft Office and query tools
Process analysis and project management experience
