This role will report directly to the VP, Data Strategy and Analytics focusing on defining and deploying standard, global metrics/KPIs to measure progress against financial and roadmap commitments.
This role is critical to the portfolio management process from intake to operationalization. The individual must develop the value assessment, benefits tracking and realization techniques and plans for the Enterprise Data and Analytics book of business. This leader plays a key role in implementing and managing standard KPIs and monitoring of benefits impact across Analytics, Data Governance, Data Management and Automation. This position requires thought leadership and must have the ability to communicate and substantiate the business value enabled through the institution and application of data, analytics, automation and data governance practices throughout MetLife.
Initial priority regions include US Business, Latin America and Asia, including Japan. This leader leads the development, deployment and management of a standard value measurement discipline, to provide visibility into and validation that delivery expectations of strategic business and external partners are met.
Key Responsibilities: •Partner with the VP, Strategy and Operations to develop, monitor and continually assess the business value generated by the GADS organization •Devise metrics approach, baseline, and monitoring process for data and analytics benefits across our lines of business and geographies •Drive ongoing value assessment and benefits tracking and realization across the Enterprise Data and Analytics portfolio to ensure benefits are realized •Oversee assessment of performance and conformance to MetLife delivery and project portfolio management standards •Support leadership in obtaining business and Finance agreement to benefits approach and realization methods at beginning of and through conclusion of project delivery •Preparation for, or facilitation of, critical meetings and presentation, predominantly for an executive audience, occasionally for an internal audience
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required: •10+ years’ experience in financial services and management consulting industries ideally spanning multiple functions beyond Information technology •Experience defining and driving benefits realization in a portfolio or Finance capacity •Ability to drive consistency in developing and deploying global standards, while understanding local and regional needs •Strong influence, facilitation and communication skills; builds relationships at all levels of the organization including the ability to resolve issues and build consensus amount groups of diverse stakeholders •Demonstrated analytical skills. Ability to analyze complex situations, learn quickly and synthesize corresponding solutions, options and action plans •Extensive financial management and reporting experience •Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related discipline
Preferred: •Excellent people management and collaboration skills; Demonstrated relationship building, and leadership skills with a superior ability to make things happen through use of impact and influence and by building key relationships •Large corporate environment experience where coordination, collaboration and communication across multiple organizations is required for alignment, approvals, decision-making and governance. •Demonstrated capability for problem solving, decision making, sound judgment, assertiveness •Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as excellent presentation skills with ability to conduct presentations comfortably to large groups
