Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Project Manager.
The position of Project Manager reports to the Director of Education, Faculty and Academic Affairs. The position requires a professional self-starter with strong communications and organizational skills, experience in project management, an ability to work well in a team setting and under pressure, and the flexibility to manage several ongoing projects simultaneously. Responsibilities are time sensitive and execution of this function occurs in a fast paced environment requiring strong organizational skills, acute attention to detail and robust MS Office skills. The Project Manager will support the Office of Education, Faculty and Academic Affairs in executing key Institutional programs and reports while ensuring timely and quality customer service to all key stakeholders, including academic departments and the senior executive team. Working together with the Director and Senior Administrator, the Project Manager will support the synthesis of findings into compelling recommendations, stakeholder alignment, and presentation to leadership, execution and tracking of progress.
Preparing, reviewing, and analyzing information and data relating to current/proposed analyses related to faculty and strategic planning initiatives across EFAA.
Lead projects and processes including scoping out steps and dependencies, monitoring progress and driving the work to completion. Includes monitoring of deliverables and effectively with issues raised or created by the various customers involved in the process as such issues arise and developing creative solutions to review with the Director. Responsible for related analytics and trend reporting.
Day to Day management faculty-focused performance-management programs: - Annual review process for faculty, including development and design of new system - Annual merit program - Compensation reviews for faculty inclusive of reductions and new needs requests - Annual research incentive program
Develops project plans, tracks deliverables and evaluates progress on all programs they have oversight of as well as conducts process improvements where appropriate to improve efficiency.
Serves as a liaison between various business partners such as Business Planning and OSR for faculty related initiatives such as contract reviews and ad hoc analyses for Executive Leadership.
Actively contributes to the creation and improvement of standard reporting of faculty metrics and KPIs to be used by internal management for the purposes of performance and financial management.
Actively contributes to the creation and improvement of faculty dashboards
Providing support to the Director and Sr. Administrator in EFAA. Assisting in preparing presentations for and delivering presentations to the Sr. Vice President and Vice Dean of Education, Faculty and Academic Affairs, and/or other senior executives in EFAA and across the Medical Center.
Assists in the preparation of submissions for peer benchmarking surveys and accrediting body for the School of Medicine.
Makes solid decisions based upon a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment, most of which turn out to be correct and accurate when judged over time
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a Bachelors degree (preferably in finance or strategy field) required and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least 3-5 years experience within academic medicine in project management/business administration/ reporting - or equivalent experience Demonstrated execution of at least two significant project life cycles, including planning, analysis, design, development, testing and deployment. Highly developed and effective oral (e.g. executive presentations) and written (e.g., proposals, project plans and reports) communication and interpersonal skills. Exceptional analytic and problem solving skills exhibited by the ability to frame complex, ambiguous business problems, create and secure buy in to a roadmap for their solution, and apply analytical and financial skills in modeling alternatives. Personal initiative with strong project management, time management and communication skills. Independent judgment and a high level of management and organizational proficiency Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with strict attention to detail. Proven ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines with minimal oversight; High degree of flexibility exhibited in a can do' attitude Demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively, Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse constituencies, including senior-level officials. Fluency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint required. Experience in Tableau and other analytic software a plus. Excellent PowerPoint skills with the ability to create compelling documents with a clear storyline
