This position is within Ohio University's College of Business Master of Science in Athletic Administration program (MAA). Up to 5 positions will be filled.
The Facilitator will work with the course instructor to delivery high-quality online education via Blackboard and related tools. The primary responsibilities of the Facilitator are to moderate course discussions and grade weekly assignments, providing detailed feedback to students. The Facilitator will also work with the lead instructor to manage the course, including posting regular announcements, answering student questions, and tracking student progress.
MAA courses last 7 weeks, and the average time commitment is 15-20 hours per week over 8 weeks.
Successful candidates will be appointed for one semester, as needed, starting either Spring, Summer, or Fall. Candidates new to online teaching may be required to complete an online facilitator training course.
Master's Degree in Education, Sports Administration, or related field.
Experience in interscholastic athletic administration or coaching.
Online teaching experience in higher education.
CAA or CMAA certification with the NIAAA.
Teaching experience in MAA program subject areas, including Risk Management, Human Resource Management, Sport Marketing, and Sport Governance.
