<p>Assistant or Associate Professor will collaborate in research and development in power and energy systems. Be responsible for advising students regarding both specific coursework and broader academic or career goals. Develop and teach courses in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.Developing research proposals for external funding opportunities, and collaborating with researchers from industry on joint research projects. Engage in research and publication, and scientific creation. Provide service through participation in governance of the department and/or the University. Contribute to the development of the profession through participation in national and/or international association, publications, and/or other related activities. Continue personal growth within the profession, keep current with the field and broaden knowledge and expertise. Contribute to outreach activities that support the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering mission.</p>
<p><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif"><strong>The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the</strong> <strong>University of Minnesota - Twin Cities </strong>invites applications for a faculty position in the area of Power and Energy Systems.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif">This is a tenure-track faculty position that may be hired at the assistant or associate level depending on qualifications and experience, although exceptional candidates at all ranks in areas of strategic need will be considered. The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is fully committed to a culturally and academically diverse faculty; candidates who will further expand that diversity are particularly encouraged to apply.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif">Successful candidates will have outstanding academic and research records and are expected to establish a vigorous, funded research program, teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and be involved in service to the university and the profession. An earned doctorate in an appropriate discipline is required at the time of the appointment. It is anticipated that the appointment will begin Fall 2018. Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. </span></p>
