We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a FGP LPN (40), based in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. The incumbent is expected to work varying schedules during Monday to Saturday, between the hours of 8am to 7pm, for a work week totaling 40 hours.
In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for performing standard nursing functions under supervision of MDs and/or Registered Nurse (RN).
Maintains and orders medical supplies. Maintains adequate stock. Keeps supplies orderly.
Performs functions as indicated by physician. Takes vital signs and notes them in EMR. Performs other patient related functions and properly documents them including administration of injectibles, patch placement, obtaining vital signs. Set up for procedure.
Communicates directly with patients regarding their care or treatment. Communicates with patient using appropriate terminology and respectful manner. Interacts with medical staff efficiently. Interacts with support staff professionally. Proper patient education techniques.
Assists with patient care and treatment. Prepares patient for treatment or examination. Prepares room with necessary supplies for exam or treatment. Assists with procedures as directed.
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must be a Graduate of LPN program and has current NYS LPN licensure
Preferred Qualifications: Minimum two years practical experience in outpatient or medical office setting. Basic PC skills.
Polish fluency an asset.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
