Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR)
Location: University of Maryland School of Pharmacy, Baltimore, MD
Description: Post-doctoral fellowships are available starting April 2018 or later at the University of Maryland, School of Pharmacy in the Department of Pharmaceutical Health Services Research. This fellowship provides multidisciplinary, advanced training to clinicians and researchers, and prepares fellows for positions in the pharmaceutical or insurance industries, consulting, academia, and government.
Fellows engage primarily in health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) through activities funded by foundations and private corporations. Research specifically related to comparative effectiveness research (CER) and patient-centered outcomes research (PCOR) will be a subset of worked conducted throughout this experience through the PATIENTS Program. Training includes, but is not limited to mentored research, grant-writing, and teaching experiences; it may also include coursework in CER, PCOR, pharmacoeconomics, methods, quality of care and health services research. This position involves working closely with academic, patient, and other stakeholder partners.
