And you'll do your life's best work.(sm) The role of the Network Development Specialist is to recruit, grow and maintain a quality, cost effective network of medical and dental providers within an assigned geographical area. This position currently concentrates on the Eastern U.S. States. The candidates we hire will be based in the Tampa, Florida MSLA offices. Primary Responsibilities:Research and source new leads in assigned geographical territories. Cold call prospective providers in assigned geographical territories. Negotiate provider reimbursement for services within prescribed guidelines. Establish signed approved agreements with providers with approved rates. Ensure all contracts are complete according to MSLA guidelines. Educate prospective provider candidates on the benefits of MSLA and the value of the work. Build and maintain provider relationships. All other various duties requested and assigned by Management E-mail and/or fax preliminary letters with approved rates for the area and specialty Send out approved contracts to providers Ensure all contracts are complete according to MSLA guidelines
Required Qualifications:High school diploma or GED equivalent 2+ years or more performing healthcare recruitment and contracting-- building and maintaining provider relationships with Providers and Nurses/Doctors 2+ years of experience in pricing and fee schedule development using actuarial models 2+ years of experience negotiating contract rates with providers 2+ years or more knowledge and ability to recruit, sell and negotiate contracts with providers Must be Proficient in general computer use such as Outlook, Databases and Microsoft Office Suite Candidates must be able to work in the Tampa (Brandon, FL) MSLA officePreferred Qualifications:Associate's degree or equivalent healthcare or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience Niche industry background with government and VA Sales experience Able to follow routine procedures consistently and efficiently Able to work independently, and in conjunction with team members at all levels of the organization Able to understand instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form Excellent verbal and written communication skills Detail-oriented, organized, adaptable, and self-motivated Able to routinely follow through with tasks and action items with little supervisionIf the hired individual resides in Florida (office based or telecommuting) this position requires the AHCA Level II background check (fingerprinting) by the State of Florida for all clinicians that have direct face to face contact with members OR employees who will have access to confidential patient data and will require renewal every five years.
