We Are: The Internal Audit Department's (IAD) mission is to enhance Memorial Sloan-Kettering's (MSK's) governance, risk management, and internal control processes across the enterprise through a systematic and disciplined evaluation approach. We are seeking a Director of Internal Audit who will be responsible for providing the overall leadership, direction, and management of all aspects of the internal audit function through effective planning and the conduct of operational, financial, Information Technology, and construction audits to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and organizational risk. Use a risk-based audit approach to identify and understand financial, operational, information systems, and regulatory risks relevant to MSK
Develop and lead the annual Internal Audit Risk Assessment and Audit Plan for MSK; partner with Executive and Senior Management, and provide periodic reports to the MSK Board of Directors
Manage Internal Audit team (11 FTE), including hiring and performance management
Participate and contribute to enterprise-wide risk management initiatives, linking related results to the Internal Risk Assessment
Collaborate with the Compliance Office, Privacy Office, Security and other departments to jointly conduct reviews, evaluate and enhance existing processes
10+ years of business experience, at least five years in Internal Audit
Executive presence, with good judgment, maturity, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Strong interpersonal skills, including an ability to cultivate and manage effective relationships with a wide range of individuals across the organization
Understanding of the Internal Audit standards as set forth by the Institute of Internal Auditors, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and other relevant professional bodies
