Position Tasks & Activities: •Coordinates with the Management for the smooth operations of the business. •Regularly communicates with the sales staff for details and last minute changes on events. •Develop preventative maintenance schedules •Need to be able to understand and organize problems, then select a method to solve the problem. •Fill in for other positions, when necessary, for smooth operation of the business. •Adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules and regulations in written or verbal form. •Enforce government safety requirements/regulations and security in warehouse/office. •Perform other duties as requested. •Ensure vehicles are maintained in a safe condition for operation and adhere to DOT guidelines and regulations.
Oversee and assist operation department: 1.Delegate duties. 2.Review staffing needs. 3.Evaluate staff for performance purposes. 4.Identify advancement opportunities and communicate such to President 5.Enforce company policies and procedures. •Create customized reports by gathering and identifying essential information and finding ways to structure or classify multiple pieces of information. •Receive repair requests from warehouse help & schedule repair service. •Maintain warehouse inventory control and update management to include sub-rentals needed and maintain in Party Track software. •Represent department at management meeting. •Conduct department, store and safety meetings upon request. •Determine the necessary equipment and load list for the job. Ensure the right checklists are used for both set up of jobs and tear downs. •Make necessary adjustments in the list of load and load checklist against the order. •Check weather conditions before and during installations. •Perform random quality control inspections •Ensure that the Load Sheets and pick up sheets are signed by the necessary employees and that they are being turned in to the correct areas. •Obtain information from drivers about equipment that is missing or broken upon pick up. Verify that drivers have filled out the appropriate forms and obtained customer’s signature. Collect forms at the end of the day. •Verify counts from driver’s pick up tickets prior to unloading. •Verify that MSDS sheets are updated and available for reference. •Receive all forms and funds collected by drivers from COD orders. Verify driver has completed the paperwork according to company procedure. •Turn in all forms and money collected to the accounting office. •Train drivers in effective delivery requirements, forklift operation and safe driving practices. •Train staff on the proper loading and unloading procedures. See that the procedures are being followed. •Train staff on the “Ready to Rent” procedures and oversee proper usage •Ensure that schedules are posted 1 week prior and turned in to staffing agency in a timely manner. •Maintain the Job Board with the dates being updated weekly. •Figuring out job costing breakdown of each event to include as much info to help keep accurate numbers.
Oversee the following: •Loading company trucks: 1.Move equipment according to computer generated list to staging area. 2.Prep equipment, if necessary, prior to loading. 3.Check off each piece of equipment as loaded. 4.Secure equipment to vehicle according to company procedure. 5.If there is something that can’t be loaded, call the supervisor. 6.Be responsible for everything loaded. (Count and inspect it.) 7.Turn in completed load sheets to supervisor. 8.Load all miscellaneous supplies such as cleaning supplies, sledge hammers, tie straps, screwdriver, bags, boxes, etc. •Unloading company trucks: 1.Put everything in proper place as it comes off the truck. 2.Inform supervisor if trucks come back poorly loaded, trash in trucks, damaged equipment, etc. •After cleaning, thoroughly check operation of equipment and look for missing fasteners, parts, etc. •If items are not working properly or have missing parts, be sure to properly complete service tags and notify supervisor. •Keep warehouse and dock areas clean and neat — keep all shelves free of dust, keep floor swept, etc. •Communicate with supervisors
Education, Skills & Requirements: •Must have a high school diploma or equivalent GED. •Must have five years of warehouse, delivery or routing management experience. •Must be able to lift approximately 70 lbs. •Must maintain a professional personal appearance. •Must maintain a valid driver’s license. •Must be able to use mathematics to solve problems. •Computer knowledge is preferred. Training on rental software will be provided. •Must be able to speak English clearly and write legibly. Ability to speak other languages is a +. •Must pass company drug screen. •Must maintain an acceptable attendance record. •Must have a full range of motion and dexterity. •Must be able to provide, understand and complete instructions furnished in written, oral or scheduled form. •Maintain a cooperative working relationship with co-workers. •Must be able to maintain a high degree of patience and offer constructive criticism when necessary.
