The Jane Addams Resource Corporation (JARC) promotes strong communities, businesses and households to ensure that people who work do not live in poverty. JARC provides high quality skills training and support services to help lower-income and unemployed workers achieve self-sufficiency. JARC provides economic and workforce development services to businesses to improve their competitiveness.
JARC helps low-income workers, job seekers and community residents attain financial self-sufficiency through skills training and support services. JARC’s job training programs target strategic skills gaps in the manufacturing, such as Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machinist and welder. As a Financial Opportunity Center (FOC), JARC provides bundled financial support services, such as income supports, financial coaching and employment services.
The Program Director executes all aspects of JARC’s Sector-based Job Training programs, including program implementation, grants management, operations, supervision of personnel, external partnership relations and supports fundraising activities.
Supervises Program Coordinator, Employment Coach, and Partnership and Recruitment Liaison at JARC’s Austin location. Oversees and delegates program coordination responsibilities for Sectoral Job Training Programs at Austin location. Includes trainee recruitment, screening, enrollment, and case management.
Includes ensuring team’s timely data collection and tracking.
Prepares and manages grants and reports to government and foundation funders
Partners with workforce centers, city and county authorities and other workforce intermediaries; Responsible for fostering and creating authentic relationships with key stakeholders

Prepare and oversee annual work plans and budgets in coordination with the Senior Director - CMP and Associate Director of Programs
Responsible for reviewing and approving the purchase of materials, supplies and equipment for Austin site
First point of contact with Chicago Public Schools

Participates on Management Team
Assists in fundraising both private and public
Contributes to agency’s continuous quality improvement efforts
Collaborates with all JARC departments including Business and Workforce Services, Financial Opportunities, and the Adult Learners Program
Ensures development opportunities and coaching to help team members develop professionally; includes completing performance evaluations according to review schedule
Contributes to JARC’s warm and welcoming environment
