You will strategically and creatively think about how the consumer experience should work and translating a vision to processes and requirements that impacts millions of lives and helps health the health care system. Primary Responsibilities: Meet with customers to understand pain points and help guide roadmap priorities; map releases to customer and market needs Forecast revenue or savings opportunities associated with product development initiatives Manage cross - segment projects and initiatives that require problem solving, relationship building, influencing and analyzing Influence innovation across teams to ensure aligned; cohesive progress across highly matrixed areas including technology, marketing, and operations Builds effective relationships with customers, product partners across Optum, development, front office and other internal stakeholder groups Empower customer implementation teams and sales partners through guidance and training Keep content up - to - date in areas of product ownership Provide guidance during customer (and prospective customer) visits and during the RFP process as the functional and feature expert Strong analytic skills and ability to evaluate alternatives and make compelling recommendations based on solid business case analysis
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent esperience Knowledge of software product development process, experience with requirements management, project management, and complex projects and activities 4+ years of product management / marketing experience or equivalent 2+ years Healthcare industry experience Demonstrated ability to achieve goals in a matrix environment Ability to navigate an ambiguous environment can effectively cope with change, can shift gears comfortably, can decide and act without having the total picture Effective formal presentation and facilitation skills in a variety of settings Strong initiative and self - motivation Accurately scopes out projects, sets objectives and goals, develops schedules, measures performance against goals, and evaluates results Ability to Travel up to 25% Preferred Qualifications:Experience with healthcare claims data, government healthcare systems or SIU Pragmatic Marketing certified or MBA Ability to develop and deliver a business plan that can effectively organize, plan, direct, manage, and maintain profitable products throughout their life cycle Experience with sales and senior management to strategize on key customer accounts Experience with interviewing, recommending hires, and managing performance of others Careers with Optum.
