Employees in jobs labeled with SCA must support a Government Service Contract Act (SCA) Agreement.Primary Responsibilities:Initiate provider contacts for the purpose of collecting medical records and attestationsWork with various department protocols to transfer data safelyManage time to ensure all facilities are contacted within business hoursDevelop subject matter expertise in the Hospital Data Capture process and Medicaid Chart Attestations and Patient Assessment ProgramsComplete data entry on PHIPerform QA reviews of data entry resources workEducate and assist provider resources in correct EDI submission processes and formatsExtensive work experience within own functionWork is frequently completed without established proceduresWorks independentlyMay act as a resource for othersMay coordinate others' activities
Required Qualifications:High School Diploma or GEDPrevious Hospital Service, Provider Service, or Customer Service experiencePrevious alpha-numeric data entry experience in a production / metrics driven environmentProficiency with Microsoft Excel to perform data entry, sorting, filtering, and working within basic tablesPreferred Qualifications:Medical terminology experienceICD-9 or ICD-10 experiencePrevious experience in Hospital Billing or Claims ProcessingCareers with Optum.
