Community Colleges for International Development (CCID) is a nonprofit organization currently hosted by Lone Star College. It is an international consortium of community colleges with over 140 member colleges world-wide. CCID believes community colleges need to be involved in international activities in order to produce a globally competent and competitive workforce. This is achieved by working collaboratively as a global community in developing cultural competencies and infusing a global perspective among students, faculty, curriculum, and leadership teams.
The Manager of CCID/H&I Financials will be responsible for the business/financial functions for CCID as well as for LSC’s Office of Honors & International Education Programs ("H&I"). Working largely independently for both offices, the position’s primary focus is on ensuring financial compliance and stability through developing, implementing, managing and monitoring costs and budgets. This position will also perform a variety of high-level coordination and program management functions as needed.
Compiles, calculates, and maintains CCID and H&I expenses and payroll records Monitors costs and budgets for H&I and for CCID. Assists with annual budget planning process and with future and current budget recommendations Manages annual audit and tax process for CCID, working as lead interlocutor with audit firm and Lone Star College finance office. Assures CCID maintains necessary certification and insurance to maintain tax status Creates, analyzes, and utilizes a variety of detailed reports, including (but not limited to) creating and maintaining monthly financial reports for CCID and the LSC H&I office. Uses data-driven information in decision-making and to provide informed updates to CCID and H&I leadership Receives membership and service payments from CCID member colleges from around the world. Works with members and CCID clients to assure payments are sent in timely manner Monitors and reconciles CCID revenue against member management system and CCID bank accounts Manages procurement for CCID and LSC’s H&I office, including sourcing vendors, placing orders, managing payment and receiving items. Reviews, monitors, and approve program-related expenses for H&I office, including but not limited to travel expenses Assist in organizing events, including monitoring budget, venue relations, catering and audiovisual contracts for CCID Annual Conference and LSC International Education annual conference Performs duties of Business Manager for LSC’s H&I office, which may include, but are not limited to, AR/AP Student Financials and Collections, creating and implementing business processes to ensure compliance with various regulations, monitoring costs and budgets, and managing resolution processes for student issues/complaints related to H&I student financials and communicating resolutions to students Completes ad-hoc projects as assigned; performs research, compiles information, analyzes data, and provides detailed reports and presentations as needed Responsible or other reasonable, related duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of related work experience, at least three in a supervisor or higher level. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted
