Business Manager, Financial Operations & Facilities (17001117)
Several departments comprise the Financial Operations & Facilities Division. The manager is responsible for working with these various departments to coordinate and manage staff development, training, internal rotation strategies, and hiring. The Manager is responsible for tracking compliance with board policies and procedures and with corrective action plans resulting from internal and/or external audits. The Manager is responsible for managing the monthly Board Agenda Items process. Under the supervision of the Chief Financial Officer, the Business Manager is responsible for managing the division’s budget, performance measures and annual initiative plan, including development and tracking of execution.
Manages staff development, training, internal rotation strategies, hiring, and internal/external salary alignment Track compliance with board policies and procedures and with corrective action plans resulting from internal and/or external audit findings Manages the monthly Board Agenda Items process; includes collection of board approval requests system-wide, internal dissemination for appropriate reviews, format and style administration, reviews with the CFO, and submission to the Chancellor’s Office Manages division budgets, performance measures and annual initiative plan, including development and tracking of execution Manages division’s procedures manual (currently the “AFOM”) Manages division's external presence with LSC colleagues, students and identifies award/certification opportunities to pursue Manages division's internal staff events Oversees the day-to-day operations for the division including providing specific program and operating services support regarding administrative, financial, and human resources operations Develops and implements administrative best practices and re-engineers processes as needed to manage documentation and information sharing between departments Participates in division leadership activities and system-wide initiatives Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree, and at least 5 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
