Los Angeles (LA) County, High Desert Regional Health Center is actively seeking two general Pediatricians to staff busy clinic practices in Lancaster, located in the Antelope Valley regional of North Los Angeles County, California. The Antelope Valley is a rapidly growing area located approximately sixty-five miles from downtown LA. The region offers a variety of attractive housing options at a much lower cost than the metropolitan LA area. One clinic provides care mainly to Medi-Cal managed care patients and the other clinic provides assessment and ongoing care for children in foster care. Both clinics are part of the Department of Health Services which provides care for indigent and Medi-Cal patients throughout the County through multispecialty outpatient clinics and inpatient services.
Candidates must be Board Certified/Board Eligible. A minimum of two years of experience is desirable, but not required. Work hours are 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday – Friday, with opportunities for evening or weekend hours for additional compensation. No hospital duties are required. High Desert Regional Health Center is a new, modern ambulatory care clinic located on Avenue I, three and one-half miles east of the Antelope Valley Freeway in central Lancaster. The Regional Health Center provides outpatient primary care, urgent care, and specialty services, delivered by teams of skilled health care professionals, dedicated to meeting the needs of patients.
