Major Duties: - Teach core courses and concentration courses in the MPA and Ph.D. programs in public administration (priority areas: human resources and leadership, budgeting and financial management, and local government and state agency administration); - Maintain productive research /publishing agenda with preference for externally funded, collaborative research; - Liaise and consult with the larger community locally, regionally, and nationally; - Advise graduate students and serve on doctoral dissertation committees; - Perform other service assignments as required.
Minimum Qualifications: - Commitment to educating practicing professionals and success of students from underrepresented groups; - Experience in securing extramural funding and collaborative research; - Commitment to and evidence of effective, high quality teaching; - Experience in and willingness to teach at multiple sites in Michigan and in multiple modalities including evening, weekend, hybrid, and online; - Evidence of multicultural and/or global competency.
