MSUAASF Salary Range B (Unclassified MSUAASF)
The BSU Transfer Enrollment Advisor is the first point of contact for assisting prospective and current transfer students in learning about and applying for degree programs, and in connecting with services needed to persist. This position will communicate in person, on-location, and electronically with prospective transfer students as well as new admitted transfer students to address their questions about next steps in the process from inquiry through initial term of enrollment.
Extensive travel is required.
Recruit and enroll transfer students into on-campus and distance undergraduate academic programs, including travel to events where prospective students will be.
Advise and assist students on transfer credit issues and related policies so that students receive prompt and accurate information from inquiry through initial term of enrollment.
Track prospective students from point of inquiry through initial term of enrollment, utilizing appropriate communication modules and CRM systems. Act upon changes in student status.
Provide internal and external outreach, including communication and relationship-building activities with BSU departments and faculty, and representatives from partner colleges and universities.
Travel and use technology to interact with and build relationships with external transfer partners.
Act as liaison between transfer students and BSU faculty to help answer questions about course substitutions, equivalents, and credit for prior learning (including prior learning assessment and military credit).
Manage enrollment operations for the RN-BS nursing off-site program.
Develop advanced knowledge of the principles, policies, and processes required to build and maintain an efficient and effective recruiting and admissions process for the nursing department.
Be the campus expert on all aspects of the RN-BS admissions funnel, including on and off-site student recruiting, program application management, faculty and staff collaboration, policies, and communications.
One year of experience in higher education setting (beyond student employment, if applicable).
A valid driver's license is required.
Excellent oral and written communications skills.
Above average analytical and problem solving skills are required.
Able to work in a measured performance environment and meet/exceed enrollment goals.
Excellent motivational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The capacity to manage priorities is essential to balance transfer credit deadlines with other duties
Familiarity with transfer credit policy and procedure.
Working knowledge of Minnesota State institutions, the U of M, private colleges, proprietary schools and school systems beyond the state of Minnesota.
Familiarity with Degree Audit Reporting System (DARS), Integrated Student Record System (ISRS), Transfer (MN Transfer), Transferology, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM).
The applicant should demonstrate a knowledge of and interest in diverse cultures and populations.
Persons providing a reference should be advised of Minnesota's open record law which can make such information available to applicants upon request.
Official transcript(s) must be provided to Human Resources upon hire.

This is a Minnesota State University Associate of Administrative and Service Faculty (MSUAASF) Range B position with a salary range of $34,690 (minimum) to $60,367 (maximum). Salary is commensurate with education and experience, and is determined by the collective bargaining agreement between Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MnSCU) and the MSUAASF organization.
