What You Will Be Doing
Supporting our customer a fast moving team of change agents that operate across the department of defense and consistently works with senior leadership.
Providing acquisition expertise and advice to all stakeholders to develop Acquisition Strategies, and align needs documents, business cases, and requirements with the Acquisition Strategy
Assist customer in developing overall strategic plans for achieving acquisition objectives and fulfilling mission requirements by precisely defining how IT acquisition will be implemented
Seek business process improvements to streamline end-to-end acquisition lifecycle processes and to gain significant efficiencies in schedule, scope, cost and quality measures related to organizational objectives
Guiding IT staff to help shape acquisition strategy and related documentation to ensure efficient and effective acquisition lifecycles statements of work and other related documentation
Acting as the liaison between IT professionals and contracts staff
Working with IT professionals to support major IT infrastructure acquisitions within the Department of Defense
Recommend program structure and contracting approach
Use market research and industry analysis to guide the acquisition process

Active secret security clearance
Minimum five years of Federal and/or DOD Acquisition services experience
Experience developing acquisition strategy for IT project implementation
Expert knowledge of a variety of DOD and Government-wide contract vehicles
Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience, in acquisitions or a related field
Demonstrated knowledge of acquisition regulations including both the FAR and DFAR
Experience with Federal government clients at multiple levels within the organization
Demonstrated ability to identify, understand, react to and provide creative solutions to challenges within those environments
The ability to explain complex acquisition concepts and requirements to non-acquisition professionals
Strong facilitation skills and the ability to build relationships and interface with senior level government leaders
